I used to have a very different photography style, and then my own mama passed away. In the midst of grief, shock and chaos, we searched for photos of her. And I was shocked that there was hardly any of her, let alone her with her family. She hated being in photos, and I realized that I was the same way. I always nitpicked myself anytime I was in a photo, and I know she did the same.

After her passing I decided that not only was I going to get in the frame with my kids, but that I knew I had to change my business and offer sessions that included connection + love. Families holding their newborn babies, families cuddling on mama’s belly during a maternity session, & families loving on each other, actually having fun. No more stiff photos of everyone looking like they didn’t want to be there, but photos of families who were happy and in the moment

. I also knew that styling was my other focus, because I myself struggled with what to wear when I did book my own sessions, and I felt so stressed out by all the decisions that I found myself going back to not wanting to even take our photos. I finally found a virtual styling tool, Style & Select, and started adding outfits to my collection that clients could use and bam, I felt my heart was exploding with joy.

THIS was my purpose. My JOY. My way to give back to my clients to help them navigate getting their photos taken and NOT feel stress. To replace those negative thoughts of getting photos done with HAPPY thoughts. To make this something you WANT to do instead of feel forced to do. And here I am, living my dream + providing a unique service to my clients. Thank you for being here & reading my story. I appreciate it more than you know
